Today. February 20th 2012. Great start. Hung out with the little one,got 4 loads of laundry done in a never-ending flooded basement. While waiting for the clothes to finish, Tiny man and I watched American Splendor. Truth be told, I enjoyed it. Paul Giamatti is one hell of an actor.
Once the movie ended, and the baby was napping, I decided to try something different. Something new. So I figured out a way to make Spinach pesto. Among doing this for the first time, and being very pleased with it's outcome, I've decided that I'm becoming a culinary wizard! I'd like to share this recipe with the world, as I cannot keep something so great to myself.
4 cups fresh spinach leaves , well-washed and stemmed
1 cup fresh parsley , preferably Italian flat leaf
1/2 cup parmesan cheese , freshly grated, not canned
Garlic Powder
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Dash of salt
Dash of fresh ground black pepper
Directions:

Place all ingredients into food processor and process to a fine paste.

Taste and adjust seasonings and transfer to a glass container and top with a thin coat of olive oil to prevent the top of the pesto from discoloring.
AMAZING!

2012 Update!!!
It's been quite a while....But I guess it's time to dust off the ol' keyboard and type up some interesting concepts. First off, I will say that this is the first OZ blog since uhhh.....I don't even remember when.
When we last left off, I had just put the finishing touches on my latest Self-Titled Album OZ©. I released the album in Early 2011,and followed up later in the year with OZ: Very Acoustic. Which was a (Live) Acoustic Rendition of the best songs from each previous album. Yes folks, the Acoustic Record has FINALLY come out for your listening enjoyment!!!
As you all know, my son was born in Early 2011, and it's been all uphill from there. Taken a little time away from the music stuff for a while, although I'm still doing the acoustic videos on Youtube. Although they are posted sparingly these days.
OZ IS in fact, in the studio again, working on the 7th (That's right Numero 7!!!!) Studio Album. And I honestly feel like it's going to be the absolute BEST thing I've ever done! I'm taking my time with it, and letting it unfold at a steady pace. Aside from the album work, my autobiography is almost finished! I can't wait for you guys to read it and give your feedback!
Tons going on in the crazy land of OZ. and it's getting better every day. I've come up with a WHOLE new way to listen to the OZ music, and to gain OZ merchandise!!! For undisclosed reasons, I can't share them publicly just yet, as I have not seen this done yet. Stay tuned for details!!!!!
